2025 was set to be a landmark year for the brand, with over 300 planned product launches across both existing and entirely new categories. The brand’s ambition was clear: maximize the commercial impact of these launches, grow revenue, reach new audiences and strengthen the direct-to-customer website’s position as a core sales channel.
To achieve this, the affiliate program needed to be in its strongest possible position, capable of delivering high-volume traffic, strong conversion rates and measurable ROI. But several existing hurdles had to be addressed first:
Previous activity has relied heavily on commission only placements and modest onboarding fees, leaving little room for larger-scale tests or tenancy-heavy partnerships.
While the program was meeting monthly targets, there was no standout affiliate driving performance.
The customer base skewed towards 50+, with limited reach into younger demographics, restricting growth potential for new product categories.
Without a reliable way to capture first-party customer data, long-term marketing opportunities were being missed.
The brand needed to encourage customers to shop directly rather than via established retail partners.
The challenge wasn’t simply about addressing these issues individually, it was about creating the right strategy to tackle them collectively, ensuring the affiliate program could deliver exceptional results in a year of new launches.
Recognizing the urgent need for a game-changing partnership particularly given the lack of existing customer data, we identified Gocertify as a perfect strategic fit. Gocertify, a tech partner specializing in closed-group offers, presented a unique opportunity to address multiple challenges simultaneously without burdening the brand’s limited resources.
Gocertify offered a simple setup process, requiring minimal technical input from the brand’s side. This plug-and-play functionality was a critical factor to gaining internal approval and ensuring a swift implementation. The partnership, officially going live in April 2025, was not merely a passive integration, it became a truly collaborative project, with the brand’s team actively involved in strategy calls and seeing Gocertify as an extension of their own initiatives.
Gocertify’s model, which displays exclusive discounts via on-site messaging (such as in the footer or on product pages), was strategically chosen to optimize and convert existing website traffic rather than driving new traffic. This approach perfectly complemented the brand’s existing channels like PPC and PR, ensuring that valuable site visitors were more effectively converted. Critically, the platform’s ability to verify a broad spectrum of closed groups, allowed the brand to diversify its audience beyond its traditional 50+ demographic. This also leveraged the proven success seen with other key worker discount partners, like Blue Light Card, working in harmony to leverage the same audience potential without cannibalizing their performance. This is because Gocertify only engages users already on-site and doesn’t generate or redirect traffic, ensuring incremental value across the program.
Its flexible targeting capabilities, from tailoring offers to specific customer groups (e.g. healthcare workers, teachers, students) to placing messages on particular pages, allowed alignment with major launches and seasonal campaigns, making it a tool for both ongoing optimization and key trading moments.
A strong example of this came through the use of Gocertify’s On-Site Message (OSM) placements. In July, healthcare worker offers were strategically highlighted on product detail pages to coincide with the NHS birthday. This was followed by tailored messaging for teachers and students in August to align with the back to school period, with a broader rollout planned for September onwards. By tailoring offers in this way, the brand ensured that key groups were engaged at the right times, making targeting a driver for both immediate and long-term growth.
Additionally, the partnership directly addressed the crucial data gap for the new D2C website. Gocertify enables the brand to capture valuable customer data through the verification process, a capability that was a major selling point for the brand to build its customer database from scratch. It also helps to plan future targeted marketing initiatives that align with key dates in the closed-group marketing calendar, moving beyond merely focusing on immediate revenue and conversion to building long-term customer relationships.
Gocertify emphasised how collaboration with the brands shaped the success of the partnership:
“Working with the brand has been a real highlight for us at Gocertify. They’re a strong and collaborative partner, always open to testing new ideas and aligning strategies. That level of partnership has been key to driving such exceptional results in such a short period of time.”
– Karen Cooper, Senior Client Success Manager at Gocertify
The partnership with Gocertify quickly became one of the strongest performers in the brand’s affiliate program, surpassing ambitious growth targets. In under three months, Gocertify became the top-performing partner on the program, accounting for 22% of the overall revenue for that period.
A total of 1,019 customer verifications were completed during this period, with the largest audience segment being Healthcare workers (49.9%), followed by Seniors (21.61%). Highlighting the partner’s ability to engage key target groups.
One of the standout achievements was its exceptional 39% conversion rate, well over the affiliate channel average and significantly higher than the site-wide average. Customers acquired through Gocertify also spent significantly more, with an average order value 55% higher than the program average.
Month-on-month performance showed rapid and sustained growth:
The targeted use of OSM also proved highly effective, with the brand achieving 2.5x higher engagement across closed-group audiences when messaging was tailored around relevant moments such as NHS birthday and back to school campaigns.
Gocertify alone contributed 32% towards the total revenue in July, making it the top-performing partner on the account.
“Partnering with Gocertify through Silverbean has transformed our affiliate program. Their innovative closed-group approach not only drove exceptional conversion rates and higher order values, but also helped us reach new audiences and capture valuable customer data. The speed of impact was remarkable. Within just a few months Gocertify became our top-performing partner, proving the real value of strategic collaboration.”
Simple tech can be powerful: Low-resource, quick-to-launch solutions can deliver outsized results without overburdening internal teams.
Leverage closed-group exclusivity: Targeted offers to verified audiences can drive higher conversion rates and AOV than broad, untargeted discounts.
Protect existing partner performance: Choosing solutions that optimize current site traffic, rather than competing for it, avoids cannibalization and keeps key partners onside.
Use data to inform targeting: Tracking conversion rate, AOV, and month-on-month growth helps identify where to focus and when to scale activity.
Align with brand moments: Timing exclusive offers to coincide with major events or seasonal peaks can significantly amplify results.
Collaborate closely with partners: Treating solution providers as an extension of your brand encourages strategic alignment and maximizes performance.
