What was the challenge?
In January 2024, with Virgin Australia, we were tasked with the challenge of driving incremental bookings. The objective was to increase bookings and persuade potential customers to book through the affiliate channel and to book their flight within the specific travel period
What was our solution?
Provisions – Virgin Australia provided us with a budget to boost CPA on bookings within the specified time period.
Partner & Exposure Fit – Silverbean analysed historical data and identified key partners and highest-performing placements to be the best fit for the campaign.
Partner Calls, Negotiation, Securing Placements – Silverbean added multiple placements to close the gap in exposure between other BAU campaigns and sales with 4 top performing partners
Contract Creation and Management, Setup of Contract and Fees – Silverbean managed Virgin Australia’s contracts, sets up all fees and CPAs. We aligned with the network (Impact.com) to ensure the correct setup
Monitoring Go-Live and Screengrabs – Silverbean monitored the go-live, ensuring the screengrabs were taken and tracking link is correct.
Reporting – Silverbean reported on the contribution of the Book and Fly and its data to see the ongoing evolution of the performance.
What results were achieved?
From this campaign, we learnt of the extent and power of the affiliate channel, due to achieving strong incremental bookings (orders) and driving short-term business requirements. In particular, we noticed strong performance from cashback partners driving a large volume of flight orders.
Through targeted exposures, enhanced with increased cashback on specific orders and flight periods, we achieved +138% of the forecasted target.
With this campaign, we weren’t just filling seats, we were taking flight with our strategy!
